Petsense launches premium food line
Petsense launched True Source an exclusive, premium pet food line catering to dogs and cats on Oct 24.
True Source has 10 grain-free and whole-grain formulas for dogs in eight and 30-pound bags. Flavors include Beef and Potato; Chicken and Vegetable; Duck and Potato; Whitefish and Potato; and Large Breed Turkey, Chicken and Rice; Salmon and Potato; Lamb and Rice; Lamb and Rice Puppy; and Healthy Weight Chicken. Cat formulas are available in four and 16-pound bags with flavors that include Indoor Chicken along with Whitefish and Potato.
“True Source is designed for optimal digestive health by including guaranteed levels of probiotics in every formula,” said Josh Patterson of Petsense. “These probiotics, along with glucosamine, chondroitin and Omega fatty acids combine to deliver a formula for your pet’s best health, all at a great value,” Patterson added.
In Sept. 2017, Patterson highlighted the rural communities need for premium food to Pet Insight saying it would be a catalyst for growth in 2018. “Many communities are desperate for access to brands like Taste of the Wild, Blue Buffalo, Science Diet and Merrick. We continue to focus on finding ways to bring these products to market in rural areas and growing total market share for pet specialty brands,” he said.
The company also plans to introduce canned food products in December 2017.
