Pet Sustainability Announces Webinar on Carbon Footprinting, Part 2
With raging wildfires, increased drought and increased attention brought onto the environment from Covid-19, consumers are paying attention to brand’s and retailer’s carbon footprint and climate change in ways never seen before. Brands like Chipotle and Panera are leading the way letting their customers see the exact carbon footprint of their orders right on their phone but what does this mean for the pet industry?
The second part of PSC’s webinar series on carbon footprinting will be expanding on ideas presented in the previous webinar. Why should you, as a company, be footprinting your carbon? What is Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions and what should you be measuring? What kind of data and resources are needed to complete an GHG inventory? What is a carbon offset and when you should buy one?
PSC will be announcing a new partnership with Native Energy, a Public Benefit Corporation and certified B Corp. Since 2000, Native has worked with hundreds of organizations to develop authentic solutions to their sustainability challenges and implement community-scale projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, strengthen businesses and contribute to progress around the world. Native’s diverse team of strategists, project developers, environmental scientists, engineers and legal counsel are devoted to strengthening the people, companies and places at the heart of these initiatives.
PSC will be joined by Phillips Pet Food & Supplies, a premier pet food and pet supply distributor to talk about their sustainability journey, why it’s important to Phillips and why they chose to offsetting their GHG emissions.
