Petcurean Celebrates Mud Bay’s PSC Accreditation by Planting 642 Trees for Earth Month
Premium pet food brand Petcurean is celebrating Mud Bay’s recent Pet Sustainability Coalition accreditation, marking Earth Month and honoring Arbor Day this Friday, April 29 by planting 642 trees on behalf of Mud Bay – one tree for every Mud Bay employee, or “Muddy.”
Petcurean has been a member of the Pet Sustainability Coalition since 2017. “At Petcurean, we are proud to be PSC Guardian Member and a part of a larger network within the pet industry, working towards a more sustainable future for all,” said Kambria Newton, Trade Marketing Manager at Petcurean. “We appreciate our partnership with Mud Bay and love working with companies that share our values of keeping sustainability at the forefront. To celebrate and recognize this milestone for Mud Bay, we are planting a tree on behalf of each of their employees.”
Petcurean’s sustainability plan ladders up to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 and improvements and advancements are achieved through four areas of impact: by protecting our planet, empowering our people, uplifting the community and committing to governance.
“We all have an important role to play when it comes to the sustainability of our planet. Last fiscal year, we released our first-ever Sustainability Impact Report highlighting the achievements we were able to collectively make as a team, such as 150,000kg of plastic saved and more than 1.6 million pet meals donated to shelters in need,” said Christine Mallier, Sustainability and Community Relations Manager, Petcurean. “We are thrilled to see our retail partners, like Mud Bay, join us in our collective sustainability efforts. Our pets and our planet need us to lead the way and together we can make a greater impact when it comes to creating a more sustainable world.”
