Eukanuba Announces Donation to Canine Companions’ New Canine Health & Wellness Center

Eukanuba, a leader in premium performance nutrition for sporting, working and service dogs, has announced a $50,000 donation to its longtime partner Canine Companions as they build an expansion of their Jean and Charles Schulz Campus, the Nelson Schulz Canine Health & Wellness Center. In honor of National Service Dog Month, Eukanuba and Canine Companions are proud to continue supporting the health and nutrition of these dogs as they prepare for their journey as a service animal.

“We are proud to continue our partnership with Canine Companions to play an important role in fueling these service dogs during such an important stage of growth,” said Brad Wadler, Vice President of Eukanuba. “The meaningful impact these dogs have on the lives of their partners is life-changing and we’re excited to continue our support at the new Canine Health & Wellness Center.”

The wellness center is expected to be completed in 2023 and through it, Canine Companions will expand their ability to develop, train and match more service dogs with people with disabilities throughout the United States. Canine Companions plans to increase its capacity by 50 percent in coming years and Eukanuba, the exclusive pet food provider of Canine Companions, will be playing a fundamental role in the development of every dog. The 32,000-square-foot center will also house a veterinary hospital, research facility and expansion space for dog socialization and enrichment, as well as volunteering.

“Eukanuba has been a longtime trusted partner and their generosity will support these dogs through every meal,” said Paige Mazzoni, CEO of Canine Companions. “We want nothing but the best for our dogs as they set out on their training and Eukanuba is certainly a critical resource as they continue to grow into service dogs.”
