Natoo Biscuit Production Plant is LEED Gold-Certified
Natoo, a company specializing in high-quality nutrition for dogs and cats, has announced that its Brazilian biscuit production plant has earned a Gold certification from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program, which is administered by the US Green Building Council. This means that the facility was critically evaluated on a number of criteria including carbon footprint, water usage, energy efficiency, interior air quality, waste handling methods and environmental impact.
“We are honored to be the first pet food factory in Latin America to receive the Gold certification and stand within a handful of companies around the world that are LEED certified,” said Fernando Maluf, VP of International Sales. “So, it means quite a lot for our dedicated food processing team.” Maluf noted that being singled out as a leader in environmental responsibility and sustainability is in keeping with the guiding principles of the company. “By making good environmental, social and scientific practices a priority, we’re aiming to generate a positive impact on society, while doing our best to help every pet have a better life.”
From its state-of-the-art, eco-friendly baking facility in sunny Brazil, Natoo offers a range of Crunchy Biscuits with functional benefits to pet parents in the United States.
