Livewell Animal Hospital now accepting patients in Kirkland

Dr. Ray Davis is thrilled to announce the opening of Livewell Animal Hospital of Kirkland, located at 620 6th Street S. Kirkland, WA 98033. After practicing veterinary medicine in South Carolina and Texas, Dr. Davis is excited to plant her roots in the Kirkland community with a modern veterinary hospital that blends high-quality medical care with compassion, prevention and community connection.

As a full-service animal hospital, Livewell Animal Hospital of Kirkland offers wellness and preventative care, senior veterinary care, internal medicine, x-rays, ultrasound and more. The hospital is also equipped with a state-of-the-art surgery suite, on-site and online pharmacies and a laboratory to perform efficient, basic diagnostic tests.

For Dr. Davis, the decision to become a veterinarian dates back to childhood. “I was a 10-year-old, horse crazy kid who loved science, learning and the challenge of medicine. Over time, that passion evolved into a devotion to small-animal general practice, where the human-animal bond is so deeply felt,” she explained.

Although Dr. Davis grew up in the South, she always knew her long-term home would be elsewhere. After years of visiting the Pacific Northwest for hiking and camping, a stop in Kirkland during a trip to Bellingham became transformative. “I took a walk from what is now our hospital to downtown, and in that short time, something clicked,” she said. “The warmth of the people, the community atmosphere, and the natural beauty felt like a place I could finally put down roots.”

Her professional passions include emergency cases, soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine, chronic disease management and senior pet care. “My clinical interests are quite diverse, but if you ask my team, they might tell you that all I need is Matt Maeson music playing in the operating room to be happy! I genuinely thrive on busy days and take immense pride in my ability to stay cool under pressure, effectively supporting my team, patients and clients during acute crises”.
