ökocat Opens Nominations for Annual Program Supporting Small Cat Rescues and Shelters
Launched in 2018, ökocause4paws has supported more than 9,000 cat adoptions to date
ökocat, the next generation of natural cat litter, is officially accepting nominations for its annual ökocause4paws program, giving cat lovers the opportunity to nominate their favorite small rescues and shelters to receive donations of ökocat’s eco-friendly litter. Selected shelters will receive litter donations, and anyone who adopts a cat from a winning shelter will receive a coupon for a complimentary bag of litter, too.
ökocat’s annual giving program focuses on supporting smaller rescues that may have fewer resources than larger shelters. Since launching in 2018, the program has donated more than 63,000 pounds of natural litter to over 35 shelters across the U.S. and Canada, helping provide essential supplies for cats in their care. To date, ökocause4paws has supported more than 9,000 cat adoptions.
Nominations are open through Sept. 30 at www.healthy-pet.com/pages/okocause4paws, and winning shelters will be announced in late 2026. As a bonus, everyone who submits a nomination will be entered for a chance to win a one-year supply of ökocat litter.
