Champion Petfoods Announces New Leadership 

Champion Petfoods, creator of award-winning ORIJEN and ACANA dog and cat foods, announced the addition of two new members of their leadership team. Blaine McPeak joins the Champion Petfoods team as their new CEO while Greg Christenson will fill the vacant role of CFO. Both join Champion Petfoods with ample industry experience. 

McPeak brings more than 25 years of experience building brands and developing companies in the consumer-packaged goods industry. He served as COO of WhiteWave Foods Company and built brands such as Silk plant-based foods and beverages and Horizon Organic dairy products. Before joining WhiteWave, McPeak served 13 years at Kellogg Company, leading multiple divisions. 

“What stood out about Blaine was his background as the architect behind building successful high-growth businesses and industry leading brands that appeal to health-conscious consumers,” stated Jim Walker, chairman of the Board of Directors. 

Christenson, the new CFO of Champion Petfoods, is an experienced executive with a background in building brands, delivering growth and driving profitability. He most recently served as evp and CFO of Amplify Snack Brands, leading all financial and accounting functions. Christenson also served as the CFO of WhiteWave alongside McPeak.
