AKC Canine Health Foundation Receives Highest Rankings from Two Top Charity Evaluators

The AKC Canine Health Foundation (CHF), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of all dogs through research and discovery, has been awarded its 7th consecutive Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency and a Four-Star – or 100 percent rating – from Charity Navigator.

Charity Navigator awarded its top distinction to CHF based on an independent review of the Foundation’s financial health and commitment to accountability. Similarly, the Candid (formerly GuideStar) Platinum Seal is awarded to nonprofits who go above and beyond to establish transparency about their financial and governance practices.

“We are honored to receive these top charity rankings, as they reflect the trust our supporters place in us,” said Dr. Stephanie Montgomery, Chief Executive Officer, AKC Canine Health Foundation. “That trust drives everything we do. From internal practices to thoughtful investment in groundbreaking research, each gift is stewarded with care to support our mission to benefit all dogs.”

With an active portfolio of more than 160 research grants, totaling approximately $13 million, CHF continues to drive its vision of a world where all dogs lead healthy, vibrant lives. These top ratings affirm CHF’s role as a respected and effective leader in canine health research and philanthropy.
