Atlanta’s The Village Vets Expands to Four More Locations
The Village Vets, a full-service animal hospital, has announced their plans to expand to four more locations in the Atlanta area, bringing their total number of animal hospitals to seven. Two of the hospitals are slated to open in the Fernleaf neighborhood of Atlanta’s Upper Westside and at 750 Ponce de Leon Place on the Atlanta Beltline. Plans are also in the works for two additional locations, off East College Ave. in Avondale Estates and a 24-hour practice on Scott Boulevard in Decatur.
The new hospitals will be full-service veterinary care hospitals featuring preventive care services, surgery, dental care, allergy management, and more. The location on Ponce de Leon will also serve the community with cat and dog boarding services. The estimated opening dates of all four new locations is in summer of 2020.
Of the new locations, The Village Vets owner and veterinarian, Dr. Will Draper, told What Now Atlanta, “I’m working to open practices that give young veterinarians a chance to be partners and have ownership in a practice without worry about having to run it. I want our practices to be an alternative to corporate veterinary medicine.”
According to Draper, plans to open more locations in the future are also in the works. He told What Now Atlanta, “This year, we will have seven practices open. By 2025, we hope to have another 10 in Atlanta in places like Brookhaven and West Midtown.”
