Bentley’s Pet Stuff acquires Pet Mania, enters the Southeast
On Jan. 15, Bentley’s PetStuff announced it had acquired Pet Mania and was entering, Raleigh, Wake Forest, Holly Springs and Cary in North Carolina with plans for more locations in the state.
“We are delighted to bring Bentley’s Pet Stuff to North Carolina,” said Lisa Senafe of Bentley’s. “It is our company’s priority to understand each community we serve so we can best meet its unique needs, and to this end, we are happy that Pet Mania owners Jackie and Kevin Myers have agreed to stay on to help develop the growth and development in this market,” Senafe said.
Pet Mania opened 30 years ago on February 1, 1988. “I got into this industry by following my heart and have loved every moment of it,” said Kevin Myers. “We can’t imagine Pet Mania in better hands and are glad that we’ll still be overseeing the day-to-day management of the North Carolina stores and the Southeast expansion to ensure our customers’ continuing satisfaction,” Myers said.
The acquisition will take place in February. All Pet Mania employees will remain in existing locations which will be rebranded to Bentley’s Pet Stuff. Bentley’s five locations in Georgia, this recent acquisition and its planned expansion into Florida gives the pet retailer more than 40 locations and 400 employees in the three Southeast states.
