BetterBone Appoints Scott Brownell as Global Sales Director Ahead of SUPERZOO 2026

Veteran Pet Industry Executive Joins Award-Winning Dog Chew Toy Brand to Accelerate Retail Growth and Distribution Expansion

BetterBone® by Blue Standard®, the award-winning dog chew toy brand built around a dog-first philosophy, announced the appointment of Scott Brownell as Global Sales Director.Brownell joins the company as BetterBone continues to expand its retail presence, strengthen distributor relationships, and grow across North American and international markets.

With more than a decade of pet industry sales leadership experience at Stella & Chewy’s and Grandma Lucy’s, Brownell brings expertise in national accounts, international distribution, strategic partnerships, and retail expansion and will officially join the BetterBone team at SUPERZOO 2026, Aug. 11-13, 2026, where he will meet with retailers, distributors, and industry partners at BetterBone Booth #3100.

Supporting BetterBone’s Next Stage of Growth

As Global Sales Director, Brownell will lead BetterBone’s sales strategy, retail relationships, and distribution development. He will work closely with independent pet retailers, distributors, national accounts, and international partners to bring BetterBone’s plant-based, nylon-free dog chews to more dogs and their families.

His appointment reflects BetterBone’s continued investment in the people, resources, and partnerships needed to support increased retailer demand and the company’s next stage of growth.

Proven Pet Industry Leadership

Prior to joining BetterBone, Brownell spent more than eight years at Stella & Chewy’s, most recently serving as Senior Director of International Sales. In that role, he led international growth initiatives and managed key retail and distribution relationships. Earlier in his tenure, he oversaw sales across the Western United States and Southeast Asia, developing market-specific strategies and supporting the company’s broader expansion.

Before joining Stella & Chewy’s, Brownell served as Director of Global Sales at Grandma Lucy’s. There, he helped expand distribution across Asia, Europe, and Latin America, strengthen national retail partnerships, and develop strategic initiatives designed to improve sales performance and support long-term growth.
