Birdie & Louie Gives Back: 2 Million Cans of Cat Food Donated to Shelters Nationwide

Birdie & Louie is donating 2 million cans of its premium cat food to shelters, rescues and food pantries across the country, amounting to 400,000 pounds of top-tier tuna goodness making its way to cats in need. Beginning in March and continuing throughout the summer, the brand is shipping out meals to 100+ shelters and rescues from its headquarters in Wetumpka, AL.With natural disasters displacing pets, shelters overflowing and supply chain hiccups affecting animal welfare organizations, Birdie & Louie saw an opportunity to turn extra inventory into life-changing support. It is also encouraging adoption during National Pet Month this May.

Natural disasters, overcrowded shelters and supply shortages have made life tough for a lot of these animals and we’re honored to support Best Friends Animal Society in their work to make all shelters in the US no-kill.”

To make sure these 2 million cans reach the right places, Birdie & Louie is working with Best Friends Animal Society to support their network of shelter and rescue partners across the US.
