Camp Bow Wow Franchise Owner Awarded Franchisee of the Year by the International Franchise Association
The International Franchise Association (IFA) has recognized Camp Bow Wow franchise owner José Morillo with its prestigious annual Franchisee of the Year Award at the 65th IFA Annual Convention, held Feb. 17-20 in Phoenix.
The Franchisee of the Year Award recognizes leading franchise owners from IFA member brands whose outstanding performance and contributions help protect, enhance and promote the franchise business model.
Morillo was selected for his involvement in his communities, embodying the entrepreneurial spirit, fostering a strong and healthy culture within his workforce and assisting his fellow franchise owners when called upon.
“José stands out both as an industry leader and a multi-unit Camp Bow Wow franchise owner, living out our brand’s mission of Making Dogs Happy,” said Camp Bow Wow President Julie Turner. “His Camps continue to shine brightly, demonstrating excellence driven by profitability and a genuine passion for the brand itself, ultimately providing pet parents with peace of mind when they need to be away from their pups.”
Morillo, who worked in the corporate healthcare industry before becoming a Camp Bow Wow franchise owner, opened the first of his three Texas Camps in 2015 in Katy, followed by the purchase of an existing Camp in Kemah in 2018 and another new location in Cypress in 2020.
“Almost a decade ago, I entered the world of franchising with Camp Bow Wow, allowing me to explore my passion for dogs and develop a process-focused business model,” said Morillo. “As a Camp Owner, I have the privilege of assisting pet parents and continuing to learn new ways to support fellow franchise owners while also allowing myself to explore making a lasting impact by giving back in the communities my Camps serve.”
