Elite European Grooming Specialist Joins Andis Company Team

Andis Company, an industry leader in animal grooming tools and education, announced Maria Zakharchenko has joined Andis’ team of elite grooming specialists, bringing world-class expertise to the organization’s mission of expanding access to animal grooming education worldwide.

“As our team continues to expand globally, Maria was the perfect fit to enhance our offerings to our European customers,” said Nicole Kallish, Global Education Manager for Andis Animal. “There is a great need for top-tier education in the animal grooming space, and we are proud to show our commitment to excellence not just through the tools we make but in our educational resources as well.”

Originally from Ukraine, Zakharchenko started as a veterinarian and in 2006 she became a groomer. Within two years, she opened her first grooming salon and by 2017 she had five salons across her state. Soon after, Zakharchenko also opened MaryGroom, a grooming school and followed it quickly with a grooming tool retail shop and service center. In 2017, Zakharchenko relocated to Valencia, Spain and now shares her passion for educating other groomers by working as a grooming instructor with Alianz Europe, a global union of canine related national associations. During these years, Zakharchenko also began competitive grooming and achieved many accolades earning a spot-on Spain’s National Grooming team where she has represented the country in various international grooming competitions. Zakharchenko teaches seminars across Europe and is now a grooming contest judge. As one of the Andis Education team’s newest members, Zakharchenko hopes to reach as many groomers as possible to share her knowledge and expertise in grooming.
