Frankly Pet Hires Mirra Laes as Quality Assurance Manager

Frankly Pet, a company that offers 100 percent USA sourced and made beef collagen chews for dogs, has hired Mirra Laes as its new Quality Assurance Manager.

As part of her role, Laes will manage the established Food Safety program at Frankly Pet and deliver continuous improvement and change as needed. She’ll also be responsible for conducting internal audits, testing production, documenting results and managing staff. In addition, she’ll maintain and improve product quality by investigating customer complaints and collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, as well as manufacturing and training methods.

“Mirra’s extensive laboratory and quality systems management experience make her a standout candidate for this role,” commented Alan Snyder, Chief Operating Officer at Frankly Pet. “She’s committed to establishing and enforcing food safety programs at the highest level and we’re excited to have her join our team.”

With experience that began in microbiology, Laes started out in contract lab testing by serving as a Path Lab Analyst at Food Safety Net Services. She worked her way up to Path Lab Lead/Senior Microbiologist. After moving to Milwaukee, Laes started a role at Waseen, Inc., where she gained quality experience in the probiotics industry. Since joining Frankly Pet, her experience has expanded to regulatory and BCR standards. She was recently trained in ISO 9001 standards and is a certified Internal Auditor.
