Independent Pet Partners Holding LLC acquires Natural Pawz

Natural Pawz has been acquired by Independent Pet Partners Holdings LLC (IPPH). Biff Picone and his wife Nadine Joli-Coeur started Natural Pawz, currently a 23-store pet chain, in 2005 after researching holistic alternatives for their pet Callie, who suffered from serious allergies. In July 2018, Natural Pawz celebrated its 13th anniversary of being in the pet business at its locations throughout Houston and Austin, Texas.

IPPH, headed by Jeff David, owns and operates independent pet stores that are focused on wholesome, natural and holistic pet food and supplies, such as Kriser’s Natural Pet. IPPH has been steadily adding pet stores to its chain. In March 2018, the company acquired 27 stores in Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire by adding two pet store chains to its portfolio — Especially for Pets and Pet Life. The company’s current acquisition will see its national store footprint increase to 108 stores and strengthen its presence in Austin and Houston, Texas.
