K9 Resorts Inks 13-Unit Agreement in Florida with its Largest Franchisee Group

K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotel has secured a major multi-unit agreement to bring 13 locations to Florida. The deal is with the brand’s largest group of franchisees, Luxury Pet Hotel Investments (LPHI). As the pet industry continues to explode, with $152 billion spent on pets last year, both aspiring and existing entrepreneurs are taking note and showing interest in the award-winning pet boarding and daycare brand’s franchise opportunity.

Two locations within this agreement, Wellington and Pompano Beach, are already open to the public. Looking ahead, LPHI is targeting desirable development markets for the remaining 11 resorts, including Fort Lauderdale and Miami and expect the next location to open in 2026.

“Pet ownership is at an all-time high, and there’s a significant demand in Florida for the premium level of care K9 Resorts is so well known for,” said Phil Nisbet, co-CEO of Luxury Pet Hotel Investments. “K9 Resorts is in a category of its own – from the brand’s state-of-the-art facilities to their world class, professionally trained employees. We look forward to spearheading K9’s growth in Florida and continuing to provide five-star service to dogs and their families across the country.”

In March of 2024, LPHI made a $10 million investment into K9 Resorts to further its position as the leader in the pet hospitality industry. Currently, the multi-unit franchisees have the rights to open 48 locations across the country with four being currently open and another five in various stages of development. Among them is K9’s first resort in Los Angeles – and first near a major airport – a significant milestone for the brand.

“We are thrilled to announce this significant expansion into Florida with Phil and the LPHI team – their commitment to excellence and to our brand is second to none,” said Jason Parker, Co-Founder and CEO of K9 Resorts. “This new deal is a testament to the strength of our brand, dedication of our incredible franchisees and the accelerating demand for elevated pet care. Our team has big growth goals for this year, and this deal puts us on the fast track to achieving them.”

K9 Resorts is leading the pack among luxury pet care franchises with more than 190 resorts across 28 states currently operating or in various stages of development. With pet boarding expected to become a $35.8 billion industry by 2031, K9 is poised to further lead the sector with its proven franchise opportunity.

K9 Resorts is actively seeking single and multi-unit owners to bring luxury pet boarding and daycare to their community.
