Kriser’s Natural Pet announces its 1st acquisition – Wylie Wagg for Pets

Kriser’s Natural Pet has acquired Wylie Wagg for Pets, company officials announced Oct. 17. This move marks the first acquisition by Kriser’s Natural Pet, which opened in 2006. Kriser’s currently has 36 stores in four states; Illinois, Colorado, Southern California and Texas and will grow to 41 locations with the acquisition.

Wylie Wagg was founded 14 years ago, in 2002. Founders Laura and Larry Clark opened Wylie Wagg with the intention of  making natural food, treats, toys and accessories more accessible to pet owners.

The newly acquired Wylie Wagg locations will be rebranded as Kriser’s Natural Pet storefronts in 2017. Kriser’s expects to host grand reopening events at the newly re-branded store locations to properly introduce the locations to the community. Kriser’s locations are known within the pet industry for providing carefully chosen natural foods, treats, supplements, toys and accessories at welcoming store locations with knowledgeable staff members available to assist pet owners.

Kriser’s has been steadily expanding its footprint throughout the US in recent years. In 2015, Kriser’s opened its first location in San Antonio, following four openings in Houston in 2013 and 2014. During the summer of 2015, Kriser’s debuted in Los Angeles’ Westside, with the opening of its seventh Southern California location. The new location brought consumers in the Santa Monica and Venice community a curated selection of natural pet consumables, toys, supplements and supplies and in-store grooming services. In August of last year, Kriser’s returned to the Chicago area with the opening of two locations in Naperville and Northbrook.
