New Veterinary Hospital, Elm City Vet, (Part of the Pieper Veterinary Family), Opened March 17 in Downtown New Haven

Designed with pet owners’ busy schedules in mind, Elm City Vet plans to offer evening and weekend hours to make accessing care easier than ever. The hospital is also part of the Pieper Veterinary network, providing clients seamless access to 24/7 emergency, urgent care, specialty and primary care services across Connecticut.

About Dr. Julia Chant

Dr. Chant, a Connecticut native from Meriden, holds a veterinary degree from Ross University, where she graduated in 2003. She’s certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy, allowing her to offer integrative care options to her patients.

Dr. Chant is deeply committed to animal welfare and serves on the board of The Feline Connection cat rescue in Vermont. She also works with Homeward Bound Humane Society, providing surgical care.
