Pet Sustainability Coalition Leads Webinar on Regenerative Agriculture This Thursday
The Pet Sustainability Coalition hosts the Earth Day-focused “Regenerative Agriculture in the Pet Industry” webinar this Thursday, April 29 starting at 11 a.m. MST.
Regenerative Agriculture is all about using the food we purchase, source and eat to be a force for good. It’s about improving soil health, sequestering carbon, increasing water tables, improving wildlife habitat and fostering biodiversity.
PSC is hosting a discussion with David Rizzo, the Chief Operating Officer of the Savory Institute’s Land to Market Program. Rizzo has years of experience in both regenerative agriculture, in the pet industry, having held positions at Zuke’s, Merrick Pet Care and Nestle Purina. The discussion will delve into what opportunities there are for pet companies to use their ingredient sourcing as a source for good, while meeting consumer’s growing demand for traceability and sustainability in their products.
After the presentation, PSC members will have the opportunity to attend a PSC-members only networking session with the webinar’s speakers, the PSC sustainability and member experience teams and fellow PSC members.
