Publix Pharmacies Now Filling Pet Medication Prescriptions in Florida
Publix Pharmacy is now filling prescriptions for pet medications in Florida. Available medications include treatments for common conditions and most are eligible for delivery through ScriptDrop.
Available medication categories include:
- allergies
- antibiotics
- arthritis and anti-inflammatory
- bronchitis
- ear (antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and antifungal)
- endocrine (Addison’s Disease, Cushing’s Syndrome, diabetes and hypothyroidism)
- heart failure
- heartworm, flea and tick
- motion sickness
- dry eye
- seizures
Pet medications are not covered by insurance. Medications ordered Sunday through Friday will be available for next day pickup.
Prescriptions — except those requiring refrigeration — are also available for home delivery within a 5-mile radius of each in-store Florida Publix Pharmacy for a $5 fee. Customers who receive a text message when prescriptions are ready will receive a link to prepay for their prescriptions and choose delivery.
Customers wishing to transfer their pet prescriptions should call their nearest Publix Pharmacy or visit publix.com/petmeds. Prescription transfers cannot be initiated through the ScriptDrop delivery service.
