Rover.com Updated COVID-19 Response

Rover.com, a leading online marketplace for people to buy and sell pet care services including pet sitting, dog boarding and walking, announced its response to the COVID-19 outbreak in a company update.

While the unprecedented situation has closed many restaurants, businesses and forced many around the world to stay home, Rover.com continues to operate and encourages customers to abide by local laws and regulations. The company also issued guidelines and tips for pet owners booking pet care, which can be found here.

Rover.com encourages pet owners to sanitize doorknobs before and after the sitter visits homes and stated, “offer to let your sitter bring their own leash and dog bags.” Keeping social distancing protocols and interactions short are also expected of Rover.com customers.
