Skout’s Honor, a leader in environmentally and socially-conscious pet essentials, today announced a major milestone of having donated more than 10 million meals to animal rescues across the nation through its Skout’s Paw Pledge Program. Since the company’s founding in 2015, the Paw Pledge (which signifies a day’s worth of food donated per every Skout’s Honor product sold), has been able to make a significant positive impact in collaboration with Greater Good Charities.
In 2021, and in response to many individuals searching for companionship throughout the pandemic, the pet industry experienced an unprecedented surge in adoptions of pets (70 percent of U.S. households or about 90.5 million families now own a pet, according to the 2021-2022 National Pet Owners Survey conducted by the American Pet Products Association). Further, with food being one of the highest costs for pet rescues in the U.S., Skout’s Honor has continued to make a positive impact by nurturing more adoptable pets through its significant meal donations.
