Steve Glassman Announces Retirement from Van Ness Pet Products

Van Ness Pet Products has announced the retirement of Director Steve Glassman after 33 years of dedicated service.

Since joining Van Ness in 1991, Glassman has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and success. His expertise across management, marketing, sales, product development, finance, purchasing, packaging, international business and legal affairs has been instrumental in positioning Van Ness as a leader in the pet industry. Through his tenure, his contributions to the company have been immeasurable, fostering innovation, operational excellence and a deeply collaborative workplace culture.

“To say Steve has been an integral part of Van Ness would be an understatement,” said Will Van Ness, President at Van Ness Pet Products. “His vision and dedication have guided us for more than 30 years, and while we will certainly miss his presence day to day, we are grateful for the lasting impact he has made.”

Though retiring from his role at Van Ness, Glassman will continue to support the company through his newly formed LLC, SPG Business Consulting, where he will act as a consultant. Beyond his professional achievements, he is passionate about business mentorship, always striving to offer guidance and foster a strong sense of teamwork.

To celebrate his retirement and honor his contributions, Van Ness will be hosting a reception at their Global Pet Expo booth (#3813) on Thursday, March 27 at 10 a.m. The event will feature light refreshments and serve as an open invitation for his many industry friends to stop by, reminisce and celebrate his remarkable career.
