The Fresh Mink Pet Expo Returns to ATL Airport District in April

The ATL Airport District Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), the destination marketing organization for the cities of College Park, Hapeville and Union City, GA, will welcome pet lovers and their furry companions for the return of the popular Fresh Mink Pet Expo this April. A one-of-a-kind celebration of pets, passion and innovation, the event will take place Friday, April 12 through Sunday, April 14 at the Georgia International Convention Center. Founded by Maria Lee-Driver, the pioneer behind the renowned all-natural pet product line, Fresh Mink Pets, this expo offers an immersive experience into the world of pet culture with the latest in pet care, education and entertainment.

“We are thrilled to welcome pet lovers from across our community – as well as their four-legged friends – to the Fresh Mink Pet Expo this spring,” said Cookie Smoak, president of the ATL Airport District CVB. “This event serves as a wonderful opportunity for those with pets or those looking to get a pet, to come together and learn how to ensure happier, healthier and longer lives for their furry friends!”

This year marks the return of the event, previously known as the Ozone Pet Expo, at the GICC. The expo will include a variety of fun, engaging competitions with prestigious titles and awards. The International Cat Association (TICA) will host the only cat show in the Southeast. “It’s TICA Time Cat Club” will honor both pedigreed and random-bred household pet cats alike. An exhilarating dog show presented by Diamond Cut Kennels will award prizes based on obedience, protection and training. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a pet fashion show, a pet lure course and free pet washing stations and skin and coat assessments. From premium pet food to stylish collars and innovative toys, attendees can also explore and shop at a variety of vendor booths offering the latest pet products, accessories and services.

Maria Lee-Driver’s entrepreneurial career began in the beauty industry with her all-natural hair, skin and beauty product line, Oria’s O’Shay and a fragrance called Silence. Inspired by her daughter’s toy poodle, Maria developed her all-natural pet deodorizing line, Fresh Mink Pets, which includes shampoo, conditioner, pet fume and natural sage. Following its launch, Chewy.com started carrying Fresh Mink Pets products, making Lee-Driver the first African American to have a major pet brand featured on a national platform. Her products, cherished by pet owners nationwide, are available online here.

“The overwhelmingly positive feedback we received after our first pet expo left no doubt in our minds that we simply had to come back in 2024,” said Maria Lee-Driver, founder of the Fresh Mink Pet Expo. “The ATL Airport District team went above and beyond to support us and ensure a seamless experience for all attendees. Any questions I had for them, they were prompt, thorough and informative in their responses. They even surprised our team with branded cupcakes as an added delight!”
