Tractor Supply Company Donates $100,000 to Support Louisiana, Texas Facilities After Hurricane Laura
Tractor Supply Company has pledged its support to Gulf-area pet and animal organizations impacted by Hurricane Laura and will donate a total of $100,000 to facilities in Louisiana and Texas, including shelters, humane societies, animal rescues and more.
Hurricane Laura made landfall on Aug. 27, sustaining winds around 150 mph. The strong wind gusts resulted in widespread structural damage to homes and businesses. As pets and animals are left homeless or stranded, the animal organizations tasked with caring for them are also grappling with their own cleanup efforts. Tractor Supply’s donation will assist with the cost of restoration as well as the purchase of pet food, animal feed and products such as beds, crates and cleaning supplies.
“Pets and animals are incredibly important to us at Tractor Supply, and they are often overlooked in the aftermath of a storm like Hurricane Laura,” said Christi Korzekwa, Tractor Supply’s Senior Vice President of Marketing. “With this donation, we hope to assist these organizations as they recover from the devastation of the storm and focus on their important work of caring for animals.”
Tractor Supply Company also owns and operates Petsense, a small-box pet specialty supply retailer focused on meeting the needs of pet owners, primarily in small and mid-size communities and offering a variety of pet products and services. As of June 27, 2020, the Company operated 180 Petsense stores in 25 states. For more information on Petsense, visit www.Petsense.com.
