Voluntary recall of Northwest Naturals raw pet food products
Northwest Naturals of Portland, Oregon, US, is voluntarily recalling two frozen raw pet food products after FDA testing detected Salmonella and Listeria contamination. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the recall.
The recalled products were distributed to retailers nationwide:
- Northwest Naturals Frozen Chicken Recipe (cat food and protein topper for dogs), 2-pound bag, 12 bags per case — lot B-5, best by 01/26/2028, UPC 087316384956.
- Northwest Naturals Frozen Raw Diet for Dogs Chicken Recipe, 6-pound bag, six bags per case — lot B-19, best by 01/25/2028, UPC 087316380392.
Consumers who purchased the affected lots should stop feeding the products to their pets and return any unused portion to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers whose pets develop symptoms after eating the recalled food should contact a veterinarian.
