WATT Global Media and Pet Sustainability Coalition Team Up to Elevate Sustainability at Petfood Forum 2025
As sustainability continues to shape the future of the pet food industry, WATT Global Media will welcome Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) as a supporting partner for the Petfood Essentials pre-conference workshop on April 28 and also their participation and sponsorship of a multi-day lineup of education, networking and exhibitor engagement at Petfood Forum 2025.
This year’s events highlight PSC’s expanding role in advancing industry-wide sustainability efforts—from co-developing pre-conference education to bringing together sustainability-minded professionals for conversations that move the industry forward.
“I believe sustainability is one cornerstone to the future of the pet food industry,” explained Steve Akins, Executive VP of Global Petfood and Events at WATT Global Media. “We’re proud to welcome the PSC team as a supporting partner that offers high-value content and community engagement which helps move the industry in a more sustainable direction.”
“I’m so excited to be part of the Petfood Forum this year, where I know innovation and action will intersect,” said Allison Reser, Director of Sustainability and Innovation at PSC. “We’re honored to work alongside the Petfood Forum team to equip pet food professionals with the tools and insights needed to lead sustainability in their organizations.”
Sustainability Essentials at Petfood Essentials – April 28
As part of the Petfood Essentials pre-conference seminar, PSC is co-developing a new full-day Sustainability Essentials program designed to help pet food businesses navigate and advance their sustainability journey. This interactive session features PSC staff alongside global sustainability experts leading discussions on life cycle assessment (LCA), sustainable packaging, ingredient sourcing and benchmarking.
PSC staff will be featured in two sessions:
- Welcome and opening session: How to start your sustainability journey — Allison Reser, director of sustainability and innovation, Pet Sustainability Coalition
- Standardizing the environmental footprints of pet food ingredients: A case study with rendered animal byproducts — Janjoris van Diepen, footprint director North America, Mérieux NutriSciences/Blonk Sustainability and Allison Burdick, sustainability analyst, Pet Sustainability Coalition, also will provide an overview of her organization’s ingredient database
These are just two of several high-impact sessions designed to deliver actionable insights.
