WellHaven Pet Health Partners with Pet Peace of Mind

Pet Peace of Mind has been selected as the WellHaven Pet Health’s first national nonprofit partner. Pet Peace of Mind is the only national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping hospice organizations meet the needs of their patients who have pets.

Dr. Bob Lester, Chief Medical Officer for WellHaven Pet Health and current President of the North American Veterinary Community, said, “Pet Peace of Mind is the only organization keeping pets and hospice patients together through end of life and then rehoming the pet in a new forever home. With the support of WellHaven’s family of practices, we can help bring this important program to more hospices and help more pets and families during this trying time.”

Lester is also a founding board member of Pet Peace of Mind.

WellHaven Pet Hospitals are committed to giving back locally through their work with shelters, schools, little leagues and local charities. Through this partnership, WellHaven will commit a substantial, undisclosed contribution on an ongoing basis to Pet Peace of Mind, a national non-profit that further aligns with this philosophy.

Jenni Jones, CEO WellHaven Pet Health, said, “At the heart of our WellHaven Pet Health family of practices is caring for the caregivers who care for pets and for the communities they serve. What Pet Peace of Mind does for pets and families touches the hearts of our practice teams, pets, clients and community.”

“We are honored to be selected as WellHaven’s national nonprofit partner,” said Dianne McGill, President and Founder of Pet Peace of Mind. “Since WellHaven’s inception, the organization has been a strong advocate and faithful supporter of our mission and vision. The formal recognition of this partnership means we can do more outreach, help more patients and pets and grow the organization in new ways.”
