West Paw Joins Pet Sustainability Coalition’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Challenge

Bozeman, MT-based pet product manufacturer West Paw joins the Pet Sustainability Coalition’s “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” Challenge Sept. 1 to help move towards a more diverse, equitable and inclusive society.

The 30-day Challenge, hosted through the technology platform WeSpire, will inspire 1,000 small actions that lay the groundwork for long-term improvement. West Paw joins the WeSpire platform as a team and then chooses small, brief actions to foster awareness and action around diversity, equity and inclusion. West Paw employees will get to choose how to focus their efforts on topics like diversity, allyship and anti-racism.

In preparation for the Challenge, Spencer Williams, Owner and CEO at West Paw held a meeting for employees to encourage maximum engagement.

“I am deeply impacted by the systemic racism that continues in our great country. Despite our Montana location somewhat sheltering us from witnessing daily the impacts of racism, I know racism exists everywhere. I believe taking part in this Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Challenge is one way our industry can work toward a more equitable, just and safe future,” he said.
