ZIWI Makes Statement Amid COVID-19 Outbreak
In a company update regarding COVID-19, Richard Lawrence, ZIWI’s Managing Director, made a statement discussing the company’s current standpoint.
“In New Zealand and many parts of the world, only essential businesses and services continue to operate,” Lawrence said. “Fortunately, this includes food for your cherished pets. We’re doing everything we can to keep our kitchen pantry stocked while maintaining the highest of food quality and safety standards that you’d expect from ZIWI.”
Lawrence continued, “The safety of our team and food is paramount. Following the guidelines and recommendations set by New Zealand’s Ministry of Health, Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, US (CDC) and WHO, we’ve implemented additional precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our team. This includes, but is not limited to, social distancing or isolation, daily temperature monitoring of team members, additional safety equipment and resources to support our team.”
He added, “Just as many grocery stores are struggling to keep shelves full, we’ve also seen an increase in demand. This means that our retail partners ZIWI’s online store may be in short supply. To replenish shelves, our kitchens are running at maximum capacity, while ensuring we continue to deliver on our mandate of peak nutrition without compromise. Our sincere thanks for your patience.”
