Vanguard Awards: Eye and Ear Care

The eye and ear care category has evolved into a regular component of responsible pet care. The credit goes to manufacturers that have educated pet owners and equipped them with easy-to-use products that deliver noticeable results every time. These companies care about pets and their quality of life, and their responsibility to pets is evident in the products they offer.

Pet King Brands entered the industry when a German Shepherd, Elizabeth, who suffered from chronic ear conditions, inspired the innovation of ZYMOXEar and Skin and Oratene Brushless Oral Care products.

“Thanks to Elizabeth and her owner, Pet King Brands’ President and Founder Pam Bosco, ZYMOX and Oratene have helped countless pets around the world have healthier ears, skin and mouths,” shared a Pet King Brands spokesperson. “These core values remain in the development of new products such as the ZYMOX Advanced Enzymatic Ear Wipes, revolutionized with enzyme-based care that does no harm.”

The reason Vetericyn expanded into eye and ear care just made sense.

“Given the safety profile and incredible results Vetericyn Plus hypochlorous (HOCl) had on wound and skin care, it was a natural extension to move into ear care,” Director of Marketing Geoff Hamby previously said. “We believe in finding better ways to help animal lovers take care of their pets. We’re committed to turning revolutionary technologies into products that help pets thrive.”

HICC Pet recently launched Eye and Ear Wipes featuring Manuka Honey, which offers antibacterial and soothing properties along with a pleasing scent.

“As we continue to grow in our category, we’re dedicated to providing options that enhance the pet care experience,” said a company spokesperson. “All HICC Pet products are designed to make living with pets even more enjoyable.”

Backed with decades of experience, these leaders continue to challenge themselves to release curated and relevant products that make pets’ lives easier and ease pet owners’ concerns.

“We remain focused on the health and wellness of animals of all ages and sizes by utilizing the power of the LP3 Enzyme System, an innovative and patented system based on over 40 years of advanced technology,” the spokesperson said. “This allows us to lead the category in increased effectiveness without the adverse side effects.”

“Vetericyn’s success in the category is largely due to our focus on being antibiotic-free, non-sensitizing (won’t sting or burn), and providing remarkable results,” Hamby said. “These product attributes give a tremendous boost of confidence to pet parents for treating ear issues at home. We also have fantastic reviews across our entire line. As they say, the results speak for themselves.”

At HICC Pet, the focus is on making tried and true products that are as easy to use as possible. Recently, the company expanded both its Wellness and Grooming Collections.

“The Grooming Collection, currently made up of wipes with fermented coconut oil, will be significantly growing with the launch of current wipes in new variations including portable versions as well as new wipe products and a new line of balm products,” the spokesperson said.

These companies hold their retail partners in high regard and laud them for earning pet parents’ trust and for supplying them with fact-based recommendations and authentic concern for pets’ well-being.

“Retailers that partner with Pet King Brands are truly interested in being an educational source for proper pet care,” the spokesperson said. “Our products harness the power of enzymes to reduce stress on our animals, a key priority for our team and our partners.”

“The retailers we partner with are focused on being the trusted source of help for their customers,” Hamby said. “They pride themselves on having an educated staff and building relationships with their clientele. Their staff is well educated on the products they carry and most use them on their own pets so they have real-world experience to share.”

Educating pet owners is a never-ending loop. Manufacturers take their responsibility of imparting knowledge about products and how to responsibly care for pets to heart.

“We strive to educate consumers on the quality that is reflected in the upfront cost of our products,” the Pet King Brands spokesperson said.
